Life Onboard

To live and work aboard a Carnival cruise ship is to enter a multi-cultural world of self-discovery, excitement and fun, where every day is a different adventure. Carnival is committed to the well-being of all its employees and makes every effort to create a positive, nurturing work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Our ships visit many ports in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, Hawaii, Canada, Europe, Bermuda, the British Isles and Norway. Not only will you be afforded the opportunity to travel and visit these exciting places, you will also learn how to interact with many different people -- so be sure to enjoy the experience!

Life aboard ship is very different from life on land. It is a self-contained environment consisting of a multinational and multicultural team. All shipboard employees are considered “seafarers,” meaning they both live and work at sea. In this environment the need for discipline and courteous behavior takes on added importance.

Aboard ship, there are rules and regulations to live by.  Patience and understanding are essential qualities for anyone working or considering a career at sea.  Some team members experience an initial period of adjustment, but soon settle into a routine.
