Deck Department

Our Deck department is comprised of approximately 70 officers and crew on each ship who navigate our vessels, provide shipboard security, maintain the non-mechanical portions of our ships’ exteriors and interiors.

They control the ship’s safety systems for lifeboats, galleys, elevators and phones. The ship’s Captain is ultimately responsible for navigation and all aspects of the ship’s operation, as well as the safety and welfare of our guests and crew. This department includes Captain, Staff Captain, Bridge Officers, and Maintenance teams. Also falling under the deck department is the separate team of dedicated medical staff who care for all guests’ and employees’ health needs. This includes Ship Physicians and Nurses.
